“The Holy Grace.”
By
Jaime Rivera
I saw sweet JESUS in all his grace,
One early Sunday morning,
And I noticed he was calling,
For all to see his lovely face.
Although he was smiling, I wasn't sure,
As we all gathered in that holy place,
For all who went, there was a cure,
And for those who went there was a chase.
For Kings and Queens do often defied,
To he who came to save our souls,
And we all look up to the sky,
And here is what we were told:
“For I have come in times of need,
I will not shrink my heart by thieves,
I WILL NOT DESERT YOU OR LEAVE YOU IN MISERY!
I will CURSE those who torture thee,
I will banish the cold, the heartless, the greed,
The selfish I'll leave in fear, quivering.
For you I did but once create,
I put my soul, my heart, my estate,
AND NO ONE WAS TO COME BETWEEN US!
I deplore the HATRED, the need to make,
The conclusion of man's mistakes,
“Weapons of mass destruction we trust.”
And it was clear for all to see,
As Heaven itself had but once opened,
The Earth destroyed the people's need,
That Judgment Day was spoken!
And we all gathered onto his giant feet,
Praying to hear our entire names,
Those he mentioned the angels keep,
And the others were cast out into Hell's flames.
